Flate Dance

Plate dance is a dance art owned by the Minangkabau (West Sumatera) people. This dance played accompanied with talempong and saluang, where's the move done quickly while holding the plate in their hands. Sometimes dishes are throwing them into the air or to ground and than the dancers running the plate with naked feet.
This dance has a movement that resembles the movement of the farmers during the planting farming, and is also the feeling of joy and gratitude with the results of their plants. People like this dance, because have attractive and dynamic movement.
