Bukittinggi is one of the cities in West Sumatra, Indonesia. The city has a 25.24 km ² total area and has more of 100.000 people live there. This city Located approximately 2 hours drive through (90 km) from the provincial capital Padang. Bukittinggi is surrounded by three volcanoes, they are Singgalang, Marapi and Sago mountain.
One of Indonesian Proklamator (Bung Hatta) born here. The city have a symbol of culture in West Sumatra that is “Jam Gadang”, a symbol of Bukittinggi too.
Besides potential tourism object, the city with with 909 - 941 meters height above sea level is one of the main areas of trade on the Sumatra Island.
There are some popular place like ‘ngarai sianok’ which there are a cave to hideout army during the colonial era. In Bukittinggi we can enjoying the rural atmosphere with the cool air between 16,10 – 24,900C.
